XXL cat trees: 16 models from 1.36 m to 2.85 m for large cats and multi-cat homes
Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cat, Ragdoll, or simply three cats fighting over the top perch: this collection gathers our 16 available XXL cat trees, from €107.99 to €199.99. Heights from 1.36 m to 2.85 m, load ratings from 25 to 50 kg, and 3 to 5 cats recommended per model. The comparison table above lists those figures line by line; the filters isolate a height or a budget in one click.
How to choose an XXL cat tree
A large cat (6 to 10 kg) is not served by a standard model: stability is what changes everything, not height.
- Load rating before height. Our XXL trees are rated from 25 to 50 kg: for two adult Maine Coons, take the upper bracket.
- The base. The taller the tree, the wider the base has to be, or the tree strapped. Floor-to-ceiling models (2.52 to 2.85 m) tension-mount against the ceiling and stop moving altogether.
- Platforms. A 60 cm-long cat needs wide beds and condos it can enter without folding; check the inner dimensions on the sheet.
- Sisal. Posts wrapped in natural sisal take a big cat’s scratching without unwinding.
For a Maine Coon specifically, the Maine Coon collection keeps only reinforced structures; for a demanding interior, see the wooden cat trees.

Three landmarks in the XXL range
The 2.74 m floor-to-ceiling model at €119.99 is the tallest at that price; the XXL Maine Coon cat tree (1.85 m, 53 × 42 cm base) carries the highest load rating in the catalogue, 60 kg; the 2.56 m XXL wooden cat tree combines height and solid wood.
FAQ: XXL and giant cat trees
1. Is an XXL cat tree a must for a multi-cat home
Yes, it's strongly recommended. In a home with multiple cats, hierarchy is often managed through height. An XXL model offers several tiers and independent resting zones, which cuts down on tension and territorial conflict. That way, each cat gets its own space without encroaching on another's.
2. How can I be sure the cat tree won't tip over
Stability rests on three pillars: a wide, heavy base (usually solid wood or high-density compressed board), a balanced structure, and, for the tallest models, an included wall safety strap. Our XXL cat trees are selected for their wide base and a structure suited to heavy cats and repeated jumps; check the maximum load shown on each product page.
3. What's the difference between an XXL cat tree and a Maine Coon model
The XXL collection brings together all our large-scale models, ideal for height and multi-cat households. The Maine Coon range is an even more specific subcategory, focused on extreme durability of components (posts, fittings) to handle this particular breed's exceptional weight.
4. Are the platforms easy to reach for less athletic cats
Despite their large size, our giant cat trees are built with progressive tiers. This lets older or less agile cats climb to the top without excessive effort, while still offering stimulating jump zones for younger cats.
5. How do I clean such a large cat tree
Cleaning is easy thanks to removable, machine-washable cushions. For the structure itself, a regular vacuum over the sisal and fabric, plus a damp cloth on the wood parts, is enough to keep everything spotless even with heavy use by multiple cats.
6. How tall is an XXL cat tree
Expect somewhere between 5.9 and 6.5 feet. Floor-to-ceiling models, held in place with a pressure mount, offer maximum height and excellent stability.
7. What's the difference between an XL and XXL cat tree
The XXL pushes height, platform width, and post diameter even further: it's built for giant breeds and multi-cat households.
